Whilst on a live call and we are acting to save a life, we will share personal data about you with the statutory services and nominated family members and friends, who you have outlined in your application form.
However, once the call is closed and help has arrived, if a family member or friend calls us to request information about you or the incident, we will only provide non personal information that relates to the incident.
The Data Protection Act 2018 only allows us to give personal information to those with a Health Lasting Power of Attorney registered with us or where you have specifically stipulated on this application form that we can share this data.
Without your consent, the Data Protection regulation does not allow us to share your personal data with your contact and support networks and trusted third parties which could hinder the call operator’s ability to fully help them and you.
