At Herts Careline we offer a range of telecare options that could be useful to support someone living with epilepsy. These include:

•     Seizure sensors – our convulsion monitors can be installed on your bed to detect physical jerking movements during a seizure. The sensitivity of this equipment can be adjusted to detect convulsions of a range of intensities. When triggered, care givers in the home will be alerted through a pager of the situation. It can also connect to our control room for additional back up and support.

•     Fall alarms – our pendants include fall detection technology which can send an alert to our control room. Wearing a fall detector cannot guarantee that it will alert to every fall as it relies on certain conditions, but it can be useful. For out more ugen-vboak-fall-matp0498v5.pdf

•     Home and Away service – GPS in our GO pendants can provide your location during a seizure. This can be especially useful when you’re out and about or in an unfamiliar place. Please note, the button on the pendant would need to be pressed by yourself or someone else to raise the alert for help.

Consulting with a healthcare professional can help determine the most appropriate features and options for your situation. We can help with an assessment to advise the most suitable equipment.
