Today is World Parkinson’s Day. Parkinson’s disease can involve a range of physical, cognitive, and psychiatric symptoms that can affect your ability to live independently. At Herts Careline, we have a range of equipment and services that could support someone living with Parkinson’s:
- Medication Reminders – we can offer a pill dispenser to help people remember to take their medication at the correct times. If medication isn’t taken, the control room can telephone the person to remind them.
- Fall alarms – our pendants include fall detection technology which can send an alert to our control room. Wearing a fall detector cannot guarantee that it will alert to every fall as it relies on certain conditions, but it can be useful. For out more ugen-vboak-fall-matp0498v5.pdf
- Home and Away service – GPS in our GO pendants can provide someone’s location when an alert for help is raised. This can be especially useful when they’re out and have a tendency to become disorientated. Please note, the button on the pendant would need to be pressed by the wearer or someone else to raise the alert for help.
